J.M. MITCHELL Author of the Jack Chastain / National Park Mysteries
J.M. Mitchell grew up in Texas, now lives in Colorado, and spent the years in between on some of America’s most cherished landscapes—Yosemite, Grand Canyon and Zion National Parks. He had a long career with the National Park Service, retiring as Chief of the agency’s Biological Resource Management Division, where he worked on the technical and sometimes politically charged issues facing the National Parks. In addition to his novels, his writing has appeared in scientific and conservation journals, travel magazines, and newspapers. He has served on the boards of scientific, philanthropic, and writer’s organizations. He and his wife split their time between Littleton and their ranch on Colorado’s western slope.
J.M. Mitchell's novels blend mystery, action and adventure, and capture the political intrigue faced in protecting cherished places.
